For my senior project, I created an employee directory for the The Soderquist Center. At the time, I based my ideas off of facebook.com. Employees would be able to write notes on each other’s profiles, add photo albums, edit their profiles and keep up with their friends and co-workers.
The most difficult part of this project was teaching myself ASP.NET 2.0., however, the end result turned out amazing. I created several databases, two online management systems, employee directory and the ability for users to change their profile information.
Unfortunately, the employee directory was never used because The Soderquist Center had a site redesign and never switched over to ASP.NET 2.0. On a positive note, I learned a lot about databases, a new programing language, and gained a better understanding how web design and programming relate with each other.
